Each day (15.-18.8.2024) will bring things to see and to explore. The program will cosist of textile art, other textile and pattern related exhibitions, talk events and pop-up shops where you can find products from sustainable and responsible designers and producers. The event is open to all friends of textiles and patters. We warmly welcome textile enthusiasts, hobbyists, students & professionals, friends of textile art and design, as well as everyone who feels inspired to visit Forssa Textile Week. See you soon!

The opening day will focus firstly on the role and possibilities of the designer in international manufacturing industry, and secondly on the work of a designer in the context of local small scale production.

Focus on versatile textile production, the education and know-how in textile. The talks are aimed to spark ideas and conversation about the education, versatility and knowledge in textile. If you are studying textiles or aiming to be employed in the field, this day is especially for you. The discussions are held in Finnish.

Welcome to join a walking tour with the Rykkeri Print Shop Crew. Lets explore together the history of the area that printed the fist industrial fabrics in Finland. The tour starts from the pedestrian bringe by the old power plant, over the Loimijoki river. The tour is in Finnish.

The event will focus on the joined history, the similarities and differences of Finnish and Swedish textile heritage. The day will also shine light on retro and vintage. On stage we will also meet friends and collegues from Sweden. The languages of the event are Finnish and English.
